As the Global Programs Manager for the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (SCAI), you will support our global outreach and business development function. Reporting to the vice president of industry and global partnerships, you will develop partnerships with international corporations, organizations, and individuals to promote SCAI’s best-in-class education opportunities for interventional and invasive cardiologists.
In this role, your focus will be increasing SCAI’s presence outside the U.S. through education, training, and physician exchange, as well as business development, to support these programs. You will interact significantly with international societal partners, physician members, industry partners, and staff. Through collaboration and research, you will learn what is important to our partners and align SCAI’s strategic initiatives and priorities with their needs. You will manage key programs and ensure our partners are satisfied. Your ability to thoughtfully develop vetted relationships and ensure that there are no conflicts of interest will be critical to your success.

The Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions is the leading medical society for interventional cardiology professionals. SCAI has experienced tremendous growth over the past 10 years and today represents more than 4,300 members across 75 countries. Program Development and Management
Work with the International Committee – and strategic partners as needed – to identify, prioritize, develop, launch, and manage new initiatives.
Oversee SCAI participation and faculty travel arrangements with international society and conference partners for approximately 24 meetings per year. See Partnership Management below.
Assist in overseeing and managing the SCAI International Programs Committee and associated working groups.
Schedule, participate in, and prepare agenda and materials for monthly committee calls and face-to-face meetings in addition to capturing meeting minutes and action item follow up.
Coordinate SCAI national ambassador appointments and provide collaborative support to ambassadors as needed in membership recruitment, business development, etc.
Create and track timelines and adherence to milestones.
Adhere to and help develop standard operating procedures and policies for International Committee activities.
Work with the SCAI membership department to assist in membership recruitment and retention at meetings where SCAI has a presence outside the U.S. as well as through SCAI’s national ambassador program.
Assist SCAI ambassadors and the SCAI membership department in membership recruitment in ambassador-represented countries.
Societal and Meeting Partners
Provide outreach to international society partners and oversee international attendee selection for SCAI’s Annual Interventional Cardiology Fellows Course.
Oversee timely and consistent communication with strategic international society partners. Includes email and phone outreach and scheduling of and attendance at meetings with international society partners at annual national conferences such as ACC, EuroPCR, TCT, etc.
Oversee SCAI participation and faculty travel arrangements with international society and conference partners for approximately 24 meetings per year. Includes securing travel visas and coordinating travel and lodging with meeting organizers as well as processing faculty honoraria/reimbursement and facilitating SCAI faculty follow up with their society/conference counterparts.
Coordinate reciprocal faculty invitations to SCAI Annual Scientific Sessions; work with the International Committee to build an OUS faculty list for SCAI Annual Scientific Sessions.
Manage the international calendar and oversee the database of international society partners.
Analyze return on investment for SCAI’s participation at international meetings, including audience reach, membership recruitment/renewal, industry and Key Opinion Leaders (KOL) outreach, and resulting
Work closely with the vice president of industry and global partnerships, SCAI KOLs, and national ambassadors to help cultivate relationships with prospective industry supporters in strategic countries and regions aligned with SCAI’s international policy.
Work closely with the vice president of industry and global partnerships, national ambassadors, and KOLs to secure industry partner support of SCAI initiatives such as content licensing, membership sponsorships, educational programming, observerships, and other SCAI programming.
Perform outreach and schedule calls/meetings with industry partners, SCAI staff, and physician volunteers.
Maintain an active list of OUS industry partners, sponsors, and prospects for targeted outreach of grant and sponsorship opportunities.
Work to collaborate and coordinate with third-party medical education company partners to develop sponsorship and grant opportunities; provide appropriate support from start to finish.
Identify and cultivate relationships with prospective third-party medical education company partners.
Prepare and edit presentation materials, including PowerPoint slides and written reports, as requested.
Collate and organize relevant information and comments into basic reports.
Compose and send clear, concise email messages using proper formatting and excellent grammar and syntax.
Identify ways to enhance executive productivity and organizational effectiveness; propose and help drive execution of solutions.
Bachelor’s degree in marketing or communications, business administration, international relations, political science, or related field is preferred, but relevant experience will be more critical to the position.
3-8 years of experience in one of the following areas: association management, business development, international relations, marketing, advertising, or communications.
Experience with development or fundraising preferred, but not required.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Experience in a medical nonprofit and/or association working with healthcare professionals is a plus.
