Assist the Co-Director of the Northwestern Mutual Data Sciences Institute (DSI) to meet the goals of the Institute and the programs it sponsors.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1.Create dynamic concepts to assist and grow the programs. 2.Participate in creating, analyzing, planning, promoting, coordinating, conducting and assessing programs for the campus and the public. 3.Prepare and produce reports to stakeholders using a variety of media and formats. 4.Serve as the contact for engagement in internal and external activities. 5.Promote and encourage engagement and collaboration. 6.Sustain the engagement of stakeholders and customers from the student body, faculty, staff, and external partners. 7.Propose, review and manage communications in a variety of media to enhance our reputation and promote participation. 8.Provide administrative support to DSI; perform any administrative duties as needed, for the Institute (budget tracking, purchasing, travel and event's arrangements.) 9.Oversee day-to-day activities of DSI; supervise student employees. 10.Serve as a point of DSI contact for information about academic and research programs associated with data science. 11.Perform other duties and responsibilities as required, assigned, or requested.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
High school diploma.
Less than a year experience required.
Skilled in office and media tools.
Create and carry-out effective promotional concepts.
Apply communication, problem solving, and analytical skills as required in a complex inter-personal, inter-disciplinary, and inter-organizational environment.
Demonstrated proficiency in preparing written communications, planning and coordinating events.
Demonstrated proficiency in office working environment.
Strong organizational and planning skills.
Knowledge of the use of digital media for promotion.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Some college preferred
Knowledge of data science concepts and applications.
