Reporting jointly to the Dean's Office and HBS Human Resources, serve as a nexus of support to faculty and staff leadership on Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging including multicultural and inclusive community initiatives that are urgent and/or important to the School.
Support the Sr. Associate Dean for Culture and Community, the Dean's Office and HBS Human Resources on collaboration with Harvard University and with HBS colleague responsible for D/I/B with their constituencies: MBA, Doctoral, Faculty, Staff, Alums, and Executive Education.
Work closely with the staff and faculty responsible for D/I/B across HBS constituencies, faculty, student, staff and alumni, to extend and support their efforts with particular attention to (but not limited to) diversity of race and ethnicity, gender, and geography in a manner consistent with being a globally preeminent business school
Serve as the point person at HBS in researching, assessing, developing and advising on the implementation of leading D/I/B practices by gaining and sharing a deep understanding of global inclusion in both the business world and higher education.
Support a culture of exploration and learning about D/I/B – both in the US and in global context - at all levels of the institution.
Support HBS' Response to University Task Force on Diversity and Belonging
Collaborate with D/I/B Leads in MBA, Doctoral, Faculty HR, HBS HR, Dean's Office and Executive Education to develop strategic plan and scorecard
Gain a deep working understanding of the work of Presidential Task Force on Inclusion and Belonging
Develop a fact based diagnostic assessment on HBS' current position versus global diversity best practices and
BA/BS required along with over 7 years of applicable experience.
A solid understanding of D/I/B is highly desired.
The ideal candidate will bring proven project management skills, a creative problem solving approach, and a deep understanding of the policies related to a successful educational and work experience.
The successful candidate will possess a proven ability to work with an evolving agenda, and will bring organizational, interpersonal, and consultative skills to the position.
Knowledge of HBS and/or Harvard is strongly preferred.
This person must be self-motivated, feel confident articulating to various stakeholders internally and externally, and get satisfaction from being an integral part an amazing team.
