Advanced degree in Business, Computer Science or related area strongly preferred
PMI or Agile certifications preferred
Experience with ITIL; Foundations and Service Strategy certifications preferred.
3+ years experience introducing new project/program management methods and processes, and experience mentoring others.
Experience in vendor and 3rd party management, including managing relationships over extended periods of time and over multiple projects
Experience providing high-level technology client services in a higher education or professional services setting.
Experience conducting project retrospectives and analyses benefits derived from complex projects and instituting practices that enable the entire organization to learn from the results.

2+ years demonstrable experience using agile software development methods

Extensive understanding of the concepts and processes related to program management, including organizational change management and advanced communications techniques. Mastery of managing programs through their entire life cycle.
Has extensive experience with requirements, functional design, and scope management. Can demonstrate skills in situations with a large number of variables and high-level of complexity.
Experience with project management tools and methodologies. Proficient in MS Project or equivalent
Recognized team leadership and group facilitation skills in complex situations
Comprehensive understanding of the concepts and processes that create great relationships and can demonstrate leadership skills in providing outstanding customer service in complex situations.
Experienced in implementing program status and performance reporting and project and program dashboards.
Demonstrated understanding of the principles multi-project planning over a multi year horizon that take into account IT and business unit strategies.
Demonstrated success working with business unit partners to identify and prioritize those projects most likely to provide benefits in light business unit and IT goals and strategies.
Master communicator - can "take charge of the conference room" and effectively lead projects in all forms of communication - project steering meetings, project chartering & kickoffs, stand ups, design sessions, brain storms, problem solving sessions and retrospectives as well as excellent written communication skills.
