Cedarville University is seeking a STEM/Business Librarian. This position is a full-time, 12-month, non-tenure track position within the University’s Centennial Library reporting to the Director of Library Public Services. Possessing a STEM or business education along with a library degree, the STEM/Business Librarian will contribute to the development and delivery of library instruction services, research and information services, and individual research assistance, with special focus on undergraduate and graduate business, engineering, computer science, mathematics, and science students and faculty.
The STEM/Business Librarian will accomplish this by providing expert and innovative research support to students and faculty in the STEM and Business programs and by working with STEM and Business faculty to deliver an effective information literacy instruction strategy. He or she will also seek to implement collaborative partnerships with the STEM and Business programs. Working collaboratively as part of the library’s research team, the STEM/Business Librarian will help deliver research support services to all students and assist with the effective implementation of innovative library technology, online tools, and digital services.
The successful candidate will possess an ALA-accredited Master of Library Science degree and a minimum of three years of relevant academic library experience. The successful candidate will also be an excellent classroom communicator, be conversant with relevant research methodologies, possess an academic degree in a STEM or Business field, and demonstrate the ability to engage in proactive, creative outreach.

ALA-accredited Master’s degree in Library Science
Accredited degree in a STEM or business field (graduate degree preferred)
Minimum of three years research, reference, or instruction services in an academic library or university academic department
Familiarity with STEM and business research tools, resources, and teaching methodologies
Demonstrated competency with digital library resources and web-based library applications
Experience with implementing innovative technologies such as digital manufacturing, data analytics, data visualization, etc. preferred
Excellent classroom teaching skills
Strong organizational, written/oral communication, and interpersonal skills
Creativity in library program development and service delivery
