The Assistant Director works closely with the Associate Director, Content, to develop high-quality, consistent, and timely multimedia content solutions support for the Division of University Advancement. This includes, but is not limited to: photography, video content, and podcasts as well as coordinating assets for internal (print and digital) and external publications (including for Compass, OHIO Alumni, ohiowomen e-news, OUr Voices staff e-news, Ohio Today, and ohiotoday.org).
Primary Accountabilities: 1.Conceptualize, create and edit strategic multimedia content for various University Advancement publications (print and digital), websites, and social media including, but not limited to, Ohio Today; ohiotoday.org/news; OHIO Alumni and various e-newsletters; and Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. Support the production of quality multimedia projects for Division, client, and University-wide initiatives for use at formal events and for publication on highly-visible University webpages and social media channels. This includes video production and mentoring student videographer.
2.Edit a variety of documents to assure consistency and accuracy regarding grammar, punctuation, syntax, and acceptable institution style and evaluation of factual accuracy and consistency of information – chronology of events, overall consistency of subject matter; verification of facts, rearrangement or deletion of material, analysis of data, and evaluation of documentation as to accuracy and thoroughness
3.Post stories to ohiotoday.org/news when necessary. Write, and edit stories and press releases.
4.Coordinate multimedia content for distribution on social channels in conjunction with the Digital Communication Team. Post content to YouTube and other channels as needed.
-Bachelor's Degree in Communications or related field. -At least (1) year of relevant work experience producing digital communications.
**An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.
Experience with photography in a professional environment.
Experience producing and editing video and audio.
Higher ed experience.
