This position is primarily responsible for initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing the project work within the Budget, Reimbursement and Financial Planning Department in order to achieve goals and meet success criteria within specified time frames. This position will work in collaboration with the organizational and departmental stakeholders to achieve operational goals and strategic objectives.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the collection, analysis, and dissemination of information related to projects and initiatives
Collaborate with the Budget, Reimbursement and Financial Planning Department to support the following processes: profitability analysis, business planning, financial projections/forecasting, reimbursement, cost accounting, budgeting, operational analysis, and resource optimization
Identifies areas of potential improvement. Develops strategic plans and change management strategies to positively impact improvement.
Provides direction and leadership in order to execute on selected initiatives
Partners with key roles within Finance, Information Technology, and other departments to improve data transparency and literacy
Assists in determining the feasibility of new project work
Acts as the contact person for specified projects and supports in systems documentation
Supports the capital and operational budget process through leadership follow up, board presentation preparation, and systems reporting
Responsible for quarterly operational analysis and benchmarking process
Ability to translate organizational labor management reporting into opportunities for operational improvement and project work
Prepares and assembles all required information in order to provide presentations to organizational leadership and Board members/committees
Tracks operational and capital budgets to assure spending is following allocations
Supports ongoing evaluation of financial performance on business plans and resource allocations (especially unbudgeted additions
Schedules, attends, and leads meetings/ huddles as required
Performs assigned work safely, adhering to established departmental safety rules and practices
Provides feedback and communication to Director in a timely manner
Performs other related duties as required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's Degree in Public Health, Public Policy, Health Sciences, Accounting or Business Administration
Three to five years' experience of project management work in healthcare setting
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
