Provide high quality, professional post-retirement and executive planning & counseling for faculty and staff.
Facilitate, research and problem solve escalated issues and maintain a high level of customer service.
Confidently & accurately answer sensitive, complex questions from faculty, staff, HR and FA representing Benefits in the most professional and diplomatic manner.
Provide appropriate counseling for prospective faculty and executives and onboarding of new staff.
Present employee training and benefits educational seminars requiring full knowledge of our current benefits offerings and our long-term strategy for future goals and changes to our benefits programs.
Build strategic partnerships between Benefits and local Human Resources (HR) and Faculty Affairs (FA) offices.
Identify new opportunities where Benefits and HR & FA can collaborate to add value for the faculty and staff.
Demonstrate solid understanding of the strategic plans and operations of schools and departments as well as the needs and challenges of faculty and staff.
Define, develop, implement and maintain a robust benefits educational program that includes training and seminars.
Support department leaders and managers in the identification of diverse financial outreach programs including bilingual programs.
Provide support to the Contact Center during peak periods and coach Benefits Representatives on deeper content knowledge and best practices
Assist and possibly lead other projects as required.
Demonstrate strong depth and breadth of Harvard benefits offerings and strategies, industry knowledge and market expertise.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent benefits experience
Minimum seven (7) years of experience in employee benefits administration
Ability to effectively communicate (written, oral and interpersonal) with all levels of staff
Strong project management and change management skills
Strong training and presentation skills
Deep benefits administration knowledge (health & welfare, retirement)
Solid functional knowledge of retirement plans (403(b), 457(b), 401(a) & 401(k)), ERISA and IRC Section 125
Demonstrated ability to cultivate relationships and work collaboratively and cross functionally with all levels of faculty and staff
Proven record of influencing without authority and outstanding customer service orientation
PeopleSoft experience preferred
Microsoft Office proficiency
