JPMorgan Direct Custody and Clearing business (DCC) supports clients with processing Corporate Action, Income, Tax and Settlements and provides oversight of support functions such as Reconciliation's, Static data and Billing. DCC Asset Services Operations in Hong Kong covers both the Australian and Hong Kong markets, including China Connect. It is aligned to the Investor Services Australia and New Zealand Operations team and to the Direct Market Operations in Hong Kong.
Research & Announcement of all Voluntary and Choice events relevant to our client base;
Processing of all client instructions in the operating system, ensuring all lodgments are executed into the market
Disbursement of all payments of cash and shares to clients
Liaison with Client Services on client inquiries and offshore team for resolution of reconciliation breaks
Ensure market and internal deadlines are met.
Stringent control procedures are adhered to and exceptions are escalated to Risk Management in line with agreed standards
Assisting with projects and new initiatives as and when required by the manager or Team Leader.
Leverage and maintain appropriate contacts with operational peers across firm locations, including Australia, New Zealand, Philippines and Hong Kong
Ensure any errors are documented and escalated, with worked through action plans to minimize the reoccurrence and any risk to JPM.
Qualifications · Vigilant coordination with trading desks to facilitate Asset Servicing optimization strategy · Ability to demonstrate understanding of Asset Servicing event and impacted to the desk's P&L · Engage with trade support, middle office, settlement, and lending to proactively manage the risk of high profile corporate action events · Drive various process enhancement and digital tools initiatives globally and regionally · Manage Client Asset / Money Segregation process to ensure compliance with applicable regulations (e.g. Reg W, CASS) · Strong communication skills, articulate key risk and challenge of daily processing to management
Minimum of 4-5 years of Direct custody experience, with proven solid experience in day-to-day interaction with Depositories, registries and issuers
In depth knowledge of Asset Servicing and team leading experience
Flexible and comfortable to deal with pressure and fast pace environment
Exhibit strong analytical skills coupled with independent and reliable decision-making skills
Demonstrate ongoing level of excellence in communication, team building, and quality delivery
