Research Information Technology partners with campus and LBNL domain experts and information technology professionals, and with campus centers of excellence, to support research across the range of academic research domains on the UC Berkeley campus. Research IT provides research computing services, data management and lifecycle consulting, and acts as a hub and integrator to ensure campus researchers effectively leverage IT in support of their research. Our campus partners include the Library, central IT, the Social Science D-Lab, the Berkeley Institute for Data Science (BIDS), the RISE Lab (EECS), and many others. Research IT is a part of the campus Research, Teaching, and Learning unit, with a close relationship to the offices of the CIO and the Vice Chancellor for Research.
