Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
The Department of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering at Iowa State University is seeking qualified candidates for a full-time, 9-month lecturer position. Lecturers serve the department's educational mission through instruction, laboratory development, and curriculum innovation.
The position provides an opportunity to train and interact with undergraduates by instructing undergraduate courses for the Agricultural Systems Technology and Industrial Technology degree programs. Responsibilities will include teaching courses in metals manufacturing processes, advanced automated manufacturing processes, automation systems, and senior capstone project management; participate in department service activities (e.g., club advisor); and fulfill committee assignments.
The successful candidate will have exceptional ability and commitment to excellence in education at the undergraduate level and have excellent oral and written communication skills. The candidate will also have the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Required Education and Experience:
MS in agricultural, industrial, mechanical, industrial technology or closely related field. Experience with CNC milling and lathes.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Additional years of industrial experience.
Experience with fluid power, robotics, Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), and computer programming or a combination of these.
Experience that demonstrates a strong commitment to undergraduate instruction and interaction with students.
Demonstrated experience providing high quality instruction for students in the classroom at the college level.
