The IT Department at Christiana Care Health System is currently recruiting for a Business Relationship Manager to join their team!
PRIMARY FUNCTION: The Business Relationship Manager (BRM) is accountable to establish a strong collaborative partnership with various leader and departments across the Health System to deliver strategic information technology (IT) enabled business imperatives to achieve its business goals. This role will be highly strategic and will help drive innovation, collaboration, and integration across CCHS. The BRM will be partnering with physician and executive leadership on a regular basis and driving CCHS strategy and success. In addition, the BRM will help to drive reliable and cost effective solutions for the assigned functions through the strategic deployment of IT. This position will be the customer facing lead into IT and shall establish and maintain an IT investment roadmap focused on aligning IT investments to the most strategic and impactful business outcomes.
Principal duties and responsibilities for this role based on the key tenets of an IT Service Management Organization (ITSM) include the following:
Drive and improve processes through adoption of IT best practices and harmonized business processes
Establish a rolling 2-3 year business aligned IT investment plan and roadmap
Maximize investments made in existing technologies, shape future blueprints (business capabilities) and ensure IT is appropriately applied to each stage of the Service Line processes to achieve maximum efficiency and effectiveness
Participate in the development of the service strategy with IT leadership, architects, and other IT service managers (e.g. implementations, operations, ‘keeping the lights on’ for assigned systems and services) for all assigned IT services
Collaborate with the larger IT organization (e.g. Project Management Office, Information Security, Service Leads, Architects) to deliver appropriate technology solutions
Single point of engagement for IT demand planning and demand management conversations with stakeholders
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, business administration, or closely related discipline, or commensurate academic & work experience
10+ years of experience in Information Technology, IT service delivery or relevant equivalent area.
ITIL certification(s) preferred. Extensive experience performing system analysis in the healthcare field
Strong understanding of hospital or health system operations, financial, administrative and clinical flows.
Subject matter expertise relevant to assigned service line or supporting clinical or business area preferred
Deep understanding of healthcare industry standards/best practices, business critical technologies and emerging IT technologies and architectures to enable and support customer engagement.
Experience in developing business cases, documenting functional requirements, cost/benefit analysis
Ability to communicate customer requirements to guide technical projects teams, and external vendors to meet customer requirements
Strong problem solving and process improvement skills for healthcare provider management processes and workflows
Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to influence and engender collaboration
