This role is responsible for the management and implementation of processes associated to projects within the EMEA Competency & Events team the project manager will have 6 primary responsibilities:
Liaise with stakeholders to define key deliverables for the current fiscal year, plan and communicate those deliverables across multiple teams
Continually develop project plans using best practice methods and tools to improve and manage delivery of the project.
Drive projects to completion in coordination with interdepartmental teams.
Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential issues, and devise contingency plans while maintaining commitment to execute projects on time and, where directed, on budget.
Continually look for project improvements to maximise project delivery and performance.
Conduct post project reviews and create recommendations in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
Current projects under the management of this role focus on 2 key areas:-
Planning and management of eLearning training material for 40+ new product launches
Lead and Coordinate conversion of training material into eLearning content.
The project manager monitors these projects from initiation through to delivery within a defined timeline and, where directed, monitors budget and spending.
All projects involve communication with interdepartmental or cross-functional teams. The project manager will organise the interdepartmental activities required to ensure completion of the project on budget and to schedule.
Work proactively with the business units and sales organizations to make recommendations on best approach to project delivery. Examples would include technical suitability, cost/performance evaluation, and technical feasibility/trends.
Responsible for project coordination. This would include: communications of implementation issues, project notification and tracking and 3rd party coordination.
Demonstrate the ability to effectively manage multiple projects by adapting easily to shifting priorities while maintaining a high level of performance.
Contribute to continuous process improvement and "value add" philosophy by analyzing and improving upon current solutions to ensure that the best possible materials are produced and that processes are efficient and effective.
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with field personnel and others to support the exchange of information critical to the success of a project.
Develop skills and knowledge by taking advantage of training and professional development opportunities in order to stay current on trends and developments.
Works on issues of limited scope. Follows established practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained.
Interacts daily with peers and customers (typically internal) to exchange or present factual information. Builds stable working relationships internally.
