PeaceHealth is seeking a Grants Development Associate for a 1.0 full time equivalent Exempt position. This position will be working Day shift with shift durations of 8 Hours .

Responsible for PeaceHealth's grants activities. Develops short and long-term business strategies, operational plans and oversees implementation of grants programs. Manages the design, structure, development and planning issues within the scope of direction.
Establishes relationships and manages a portfolio of grant prospects to ensure achievement of assigned goals.
Conducts prospect research for the portfolio with institutional priorities in the forefront.
Oversees grants research and procurement
Prepares written proposals, grant applications, informational materials, and other materials needed to secure grants.
Collaborates with leaders, hospital staff, and board members to identify and pursue grant prospects.
Manages the grants acquisition activities of PeaceHealth and coordinates subject matter experts.
Proactively outreaches to community organizations and other stakeholders to identify strategic partnership and grant funding opportunities.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare or a related field required.
Minimum of 5 years of grants development experience required, preferably in a healthcare, academic medicine or higher education environment.
Community Benefit Inventory for Social Accountability (CBISA) data collection and management experience required.
Successful track record in running a private grants program.
Strong leadership, initiative and drive; outstanding strategy, critical thinking and organizational skills; attention to details.
Ability to work effectively and persuasively with a variety of influential internal and external constituencies.
Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal skills.
Excellent grant writing, grammar and editing skills.
Advanced analytical skills and ability to determine effective fundraising strategies.
Ability to exercise good judgement and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
Strong computer skills in Word, Excel, prospect databases, e-marketing programs and internet research tools.
Ability to work in a demanding, fast paced environment.
