For this top tier investment bank we are looking for a Credit Risk Technology Business Analyst. Credit Risk Technology team is building out a new Credit Risk platform which will improve data quality, automate workflow, and enhance risk analysis and reporting for the Credit Risk Management (CRM) function and Front Office. This is being delivered through a programme called CRAFT (Credit Risk Architecture Functional Transformation).
Working with the Credit Risk Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) covering all business aspects from requirements gathering through to implementation in collaboration with business divisions.
Support the creation of business benefits and value drivers of proposed solutions.
Support the preparation of feasibility studies and estimates.
Perform data analysis to support tasks as required.
Facilitate the relationship with business users and delivery teams.
Ensure that specific project deliverables are produced on time in accordance with the project plan and make sure that all relevant parties are informed of progress.
Liaise with programme / project managers, clients, functional analysts and developers as appropriate to ensure solution design and implementation is in line with business requirements.
Support and co-ordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defining testing requirements together with the Quality Assurance team and business.
Maintain a quality control process to ensure that project deliverables meet the required quality standards.
Report progress at regular intervals to management and produce key documentation for distribution.
Where appropriate, monitor risks and issues for a project's successful outcome.
Provide ideas to enhance/improve the delivery process of Credit Risk projects.
Skills and Qualifications:
Ability to explain complex ideas to the uninitiated and address large groups
Experienced in handling and analysing large volumes of data
Business Analyst or consultant experience in the Investment Banking Industry, with broad product knowledge and understanding of Finance, Treasury or Risk core business processes
Experience of banking systems and associated functionality and data flows
Strong analytical skills and ability to demonstrate flexibility
Structured approach to problem solving
Solid Microsoft Excel knowledge/experience
Experience with developing materials (e.g. PowerPoint) for groups across multiple levels of the management hierarchy and a strong instinct as to standards required
PMI, Prince 2 or equivalent is beneficial
Degree from an accredited college or university with a preference for Computer Science (or Information Technology related)
