In this role you will be accountable for the development of models and methods that are consistent with San UK's strategic growth objectives and capital and leverage ratios. You will also ensure the Methodology resource is managed well, remains motivated and delivery focussed.

As a Credit Risk Modelling Manager your main responsibilities will be:
Assisting with the management of a highly motivated, skilled and delivery focussed team of Credit Risk Model Developers.
Managing a programme of model developments as prioritised with the business.
Clearly communicating what is realistically achievable to senior management and stakeholders.
Coordinating plans with other Risk and business team activity, developing the optimal plan for delivery.
Providing technical support and advice to team members especially when tackling new and previously unsolved problems or issues.
Having strong business knowledge with technical expertise to help the team turn technical output into sound business information and policy.
Undertaking hands on model development where/if you see fit.
Minimum skills and experience required:
2:1 achieved at degree level in a numerate subject (e.g. Maths, Statistics, Operational Research, Physics or Engineering).
Experience working with SAS
Has a successful track record in a credit risk statistical analysis role of similar complexity and scale.
Strong people management skills and a passionate desire to develop teams and individuals to achieve their maximum potential.
Ability to explain complex financial and credit risk issues and influence Senior Management.
