Responsible for administering the University's Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) program, developing the Audit & Advisory plan, and executing special projects including University investigations.
ERM Program: The ERM program will require an individual to advance a structured process for identifying, assessing, prioritizing and managing risks and opportunities across various levels of the University. In this capacity the position will report directly to the Associate Vice President of Internal Audit & Advisory Services (IA&AS) with a dotted line to the Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of the Board of Trustees.This position will be responsible for coordinating all activities related to the ERM program and integrating the program into the culture of Boston University.
Audit Planning & Investigations: This position will utilize information and understandings reached through the ERM process and further develop/refine the Audit & Advisory Services planning and execution process. Additionally, this position will be responsible for leading Internal Audit & Advisory Services response to investigations as they arise.
A master's degree is preferred and a bachelor's degree is required plus 10+ years experience in an audit or similar capacity. Experience in institutional risk management, project management, or similar role will be considered. Excellent project management skills. Experience working with and coordinating efforts across a broad range of topics and responsibilities. Comfortable working both in cross-functional teams and autonomously. Strong independent decision-making capabilities.
