The New School seeks a Manager, Admission Communication Operations within Strategic Enrollment Management (SEM), responsible for the operational management for all admission communication plans related to the successful enrollment and transition of students to The New School. Reporting to the Director of Admission Communications & Enrollment Services, the Manager will liaise with various admission, academic and support units to ensure the dissemination and tracking of effective and timely digital and printed communications to prospective and admitted students throughout all stages of the admission pipeline. We are looking for a bright, motivated, personable, organized and tenacious individual with proven experience crafting marketing communications. A strong customer service orientation and the demonstrated ability to perform a variety of complex and diverse tasks involving independent judgment and action are required.
Responsibilities: ● Manage daily operations for all prospective student admission communication plans, including creating and updating filters in the admission CRM for targeted outreach to prospective students, scheduling and implementing email marketing outreach for ad hoc and targeted campaigns, and monitoring online display, email and print advertisements to media outlets ● Assist the Director of Admission Communications & Enrollment Services with the development of admission marketing strategies for email, print, social media and relevant emerging channels, overseeing their implementation ● Liaise with Enrollment Systems and Operations to ensure seamless CRM data management in support of communication needs, including addressing technical issues, reporting on open and clickthrough rates for ad hoc and targeted campaigns, and developing and implementing necessary inquiry and leads qualification forms ● Track spending for search engine and social media marketing ● Collaborate with various admission, academic and support units on the writing, queuing and dissemination of adhoc and automated digital messaging and on the scheduling and producing of webinars and Livestream events ● Manage implementation and monitoring of social media campaigns in support of admission events and deadlines, assessing, optimizing and reporting on ROI outcomes ● Review admission communications messaging for brand and editorial consistency, recommending/making changes where needed ● Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Requirements: ● Bachelor's degree ● Demonstrated expertise in crafting written communications from a marketing perspective ● Possess a strong knowledge of both graduate and undergraduate education admission recruitment policies and best practices ● A minimum of two years experience in marketing, communications and/or digital media ● Proficiency in HTML/CSS and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) ● Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, and InDesign) ● Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple timesensitive tasks with a high attention to detail ● Experience with Google Apps, Trello, JotForm, Excel, Banner, Hobsons, and CRM systems preferred This position requires occasional evening and weekend work.
