Manage multiple long and short-term planning projectsfor the University's Academic, Residential, andAdministrative Units in development of and inaccordance with the University's Strategic PlanningInitiative and Space Planning and Design andConstruction Guidelines.
Required Education: Bachelor's degree.
Preferred Education: Engineering degree preferred. Advanced degree or certificate in mechanical, engineering, or construction management.
Required Experience: 5 years of experience in Project Management. Experience with resource and budget/financial management. Experience managing science and engineering construction projects, research laboratory renovations involving multiple clients and consultants.
Preferred Experience: 5 years of combined mechnical enginering, mechanical design, and/or construction experience.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to plan and manage a variety of long term projects, control costs and meet deadlines. Ability to work effectively utilizing problem solving and negotiating skills with senior management and design team. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Ability to communicate policies and processes to a diverse population. Knowledge of New York City building, zoning, and other regulatory codes.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Knowledge of construction and engineering design. New York State licensed engineer.
