Make banking better in a role where no two days are the same
We have an exciting opportunity for a FCTP Project Manager/PMO to join us in our London office. The role holder will be responsible for the management and co-ordination of prioritised projects, throughout their lifecycle, within the multi-year Financial Crime Transformation Programme (FCTP), ensuring that the project goals and benefits are delivered.
As a FCTP Project Manager/PMO you will be responsible for contributing to FCTP PMO activities, and responsibilities, including project/workstream Governance and reporting requirements (MI, resourcing, budget tracking).
The objective of the FCTP is to achieve sustainable Financial Crime compliance through the material improvement of Santander UK's Financial Crime controls, processes and systems. The key workstreams within the FCTP are the State Operating Model and Remediation. Other change priorities include response to new regulations (4th EU Money Laundering Directive, Criminal Finance Act, ABC enhancements and the Immigration Act)
As a FCTP Project Manager/PMO your main responsibilities will be
Driving and supporting the effective and timely delivery of FCTP projects within the workstream. This will include, through challenge; suggested provision/reallocation of resource, stakeholder management, inter-dependency analysis, problem solving and solution finding.
Proactively supporting the Workstream Leaders/SME's and Head of PMO in ensuring that each project and workstream is delivering against plan, and the overall mandate.
Presenting findings and recommendations on innovative, and often radical, changes that have an impact on profitability and achievement of strategic objectives.
Ensuring that Risks and Issues are appropriately captured and proactively managed.
Effectively managing a number of complex projects, with multiple interdependencies, to deliver on time, on budget, on benefit and on scope.
Minimum skills and experience required
Previous experience in a project management role, supported by business and management experience. Preferably this experience will have been gained in more than one business area.
The ability to think conceptually; working from first principles, rather than using a standard prescribed formula.
Proven ability to manage and coordinate diverse ranges of projects, for various business areas, ensuring project goals are achieved and tasks are completed on schedule.
Demonstrable experience of developing solutions to complex operational and processing problems; with the confidence to make recommendations to Executive and Board levels.
