The PQI Manager is responsible for all day-to-day activities of the performance and quality improvement system for the agency.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Fosters an agency culture of continual improvement through proactive engagement of staff at all levels in the agency’s performance and quality improvement system (PQI).
Participates in the development, implementation and ongoing evolution of the agency’s PQI Plan, ensuring that it is supportive of the agency’s clinical philosophy, strategic initiatives and mission.
Oversees valid and reliable data collection methods to measure outputs, outcomes, and progress toward performance targets.
Conducts, documents, and summarizes comprehensive quantitative and qualitative case file reviews for each agency program.
Surveys agency stakeholders to determine satisfaction with services.
Monitors program outcomes related to performance-based contracting and dashboard outcomes.
Produces data reports from various quality improvement activities.
Monitors and reports on the efficacy of performance improvement activities.
Co-chairs and facilitates the agency’s PQI committee meetings.
Ensures agency practices meet HIPAA guidelines.
Provides training to agency staff on best practices, quality assurance and other topics as needed.
Researches best practices for agency programs and activities, as directed.
Assists in preparation for agency licensing/contract monitoring/grant compliance visits in accordance with funder requirements.
Works collaboratively with other agency leaders to develop and implement agency policies and procedures.
Represents the agency at meetings, committees, and workgroups, as directed.
Demonstrates a working knowledge of DCFS policy and procedure, Medicaid Community Mental Health Services Rule 132 and Council on Accreditation Standards.
Demonstrates the ability to utilize DCFS SACWIS and Performance Dashboard systems.
In conjunction with Chief Program and Operating Officers, facilitates Council on Accreditation (COA) process.
Completes other duties as assigned by the Chief Operating Officer.
Minimum Degree Required: Master's degree in social work or social service related degree
Licensure: LCSW or LCPC licensure preferred
Minimum Experience: Experience with continuous quality improvement, research, and/or program development preferred, but not required.
Information Technology Skills Required: Microsoft Office Proficiency and Client Database Software.
Other Requirements: Experience working with the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services. Excellent coalition building skills with an ability to work effectively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders. Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication and time management skills.
