The Division of University Advancement has vacancies for an Administrative Assistant supporting the advancement teams in both the School of Architecture and Planning and the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. The Administrative Assistant supports the work of the division and collaborates with other divisional and university staff to increase private support. The incumbent must have extensive office management and project management experience, as well as a command of MS Office tools and programs, and experience working in support of a large, complex organization. The incumbent also must have highly developed professional and interpersonal skills appropriate to a public office environment, the ability to learn new skills quickly, and the ability to appropriately handle confidential information and customer service issues.
Minimum of 3 years' experience working in a dynamic professional office environment.
Excellent interpersonal skills and professional presentation.
Good judgement and ability to interact with a diverse group of people (internal and external).
Discretion and confidentiality in all matters.
Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Ability to understand, facilitate, and implement complex scheduling.
Strong organizational, multi-tasking and project management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and proofreading abilities.
Experience working independently under general direction.
Demonstrated skill in the use of Microsoft programs, including spreadsheet and database programs.
