The Department of Ecology, evolution, and Natural Resources, Rutgers University-New Brunswick, invites applications for a Part-Time Lecturer (PTL) to set up all laboratory exercises and training two TAs, both of whom will be new to the course.
Minimum Education and Experience:
M.S. in ecology or closely related field; current or recent enrollment in an ecology Ph.D. program preferred.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of and experience with the specific laboratory exercises included in the course, plus knowledge of available equipment and supplies. General laboratory skills and techniques; proficiency with R, Excel, and graphical software; scientific writing; adaptability to teach students at multiple levels of preparation and commitment
Computers, water baths, video cameras and digitizers, electronic balances, standard teaching laboratory equipment.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Teaching laboratory and laboratory preparation room; Hutcheson Memorial Forest; Cook Campus outdoors areas.
