The Product Development Project Manager is responsible for support of certification preparation and professional education courseware using various delivery methods such as online (eLearning), e-download, and print, as well as project managing special courseware projects as assigned. Working as part of the APICS Learning and Product Development team under the supervision of the Director of Product Development, your responsibilities will include working directly with internal teams across the association, members, channel partner leaders, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and vendors to project manage projects and deliverables to ensure successful completion.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Provides high quality coordination and project management of courseware support as needed to complete projects determined internally.
Coordinates courseware production with Fulfillment department, internal printing department, and vendors as needed.
Communicate with members, customers, and internal team members about education products.
Creates documentation such as FAQs and process documents on various business workflows.
Provide support for departmental meeting set-up on occasion.
Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university;
Three to five (3-5) years of related job experience (e.g. project management, product development, etc.);
One to three years of experience working in or with professional member associations is strongly preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Proven ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written);
High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint and Excel and Word.
Excellent project management and time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
Prior publishing or product development experience a plus.
Understanding and application of adult education or eLearning preferred including experience using learning management systems (LMS) and/or eLearning authoring tools (Articulate Storyline, etc.) preferred.
Effective problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to effectively establish work priorities.
Ability to occasionally work before and/or after usual APICS business hours or on weekends to accommodate international members and meet goals and objectives.
Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills and ability to deal with diverse personalities.
Technology skills - Familiarity with association management systems, learning management systems, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat and/or Articulate Storyline would be a plus.
Experience in a customer-facing role.
Well-developed written, oral and presentation skills.
Ability to consistently and productively work both independently and collaboratively in a service-oriented department.
