About HealthySteps HealthySteps is a unique, evidence-based pediatric primary care program committed to healthy early childhood development and effective parenting so that all children are ready for kindergarten and success in life. Summary The Director, Product Management will provide overall product leadership for HealthyStep’s portfolio of healthcare focused products. The Director will serve as the healthcare product expert within the Product and Innovation Division, combining market and competitive analysis, end user research, and input from clients, prospects and internal experts to establish a distinctive vision and strategy for the product roadmap. The individual, a critical member of the multidisciplinary HealthySteps team, will be responsible for product ideation, lifecycle, and market success, and this is a highly collaborative and strategic new role for the organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilites
- Oversee, coordinate, and communicate the strategic vision for multiple product portfolios, including conceptualization, ideation, opportunity assessment, dependency knowledge and prioritization.
- Manage, develop, and evolve business requirements using industry standard analysis (data flow modeling, use case analysis, functional decomposition analysis, etc.)
- Apply user-centric design and service-oriented principles (UX) to deliver intuitive solutions, leveraging wireframes and user stories to communicate the design to internal stakeholders.
- Partner with stakeholders to understand the business need and ensure communication between the various stakeholders, business leaders, technology and cross functional teams
- Pursue a data-driven approach for measuring product effectiveness and continually work toward improving the tangible and sustained value proposition we deliver to our customers.
- Participate in the Agile software development process across multiple teams and ensure that the teams understand the immediate and future priorities for the products. Engage in scrum meetings (i.e. daily stand-up, sprint planning, readouts and retrospective.)
- Communicate progress against the roadmap and associated KPIs to executive leadership, cross-functional peers, and, where appropriate, customers.
- Work closely with the HealthySteps Delivery Team to manage and support high-value customer relationships.
- Work collaboratively with program leadership and Communications Team to develop marketing plans, positioning, core messaging, differentiators, presentations, demos and sales tools to support the launch of new products and new product features.
- Provide product and market expertise in support of sales pursuits from RFI/ responses to virtual and on-site visits and contract finalization
- Communicate requirements and constraints and facilitate brainstorming sessions
- Performs other duties as assigned to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the project.
Essential Skills and Experience - A minimum of 10 years of professional experience
- A minimum of 7 years of enterprise software product management experience with a consumer- facing and/or healthcare focused product
- Ability to lead product discovery work as well as to boil down market findings into new product/enhancement ideas
- Demonstrated success delivering multiple product portfolios to market including conceptualization, ideation, opportunity assessment, dependency knowledge and prioritization.
- Ability to facilitate a design-led process to prototype and test digital products and services throughout customer decision journey.
- History of utilizing user research, analytics, and other metrics to make product decisions and set priorities.
- Ability to deeply understand market trends, partner ecosystems, and competitive strategies, especially in the Healthcare industry.
- Experience with business strategy, portfolio management, go to market, and tracking key performance indicators and financial metrics.
- Understanding of the technical architecture of complex and highly scalable web applications and digital tools
- Analytical and problem-solving skills - translating competitive analysis, market trends, and technology trends into product strategy & requirements.
- Experience in engaging customers for product feedback
- Excellent oral and written communication skills focused on vetting strategic ideas with C-level executives, including excellent presentation and public speaking experience.
- Ability to manage a complex array of internal and external stakeholders

- Proven ability to function in a highly matrixed organization

Depending on work location, the incumbent will typically work indoors in a heated and air-conditioned office, with a mixture of natural, incandescent and fluorescent light with low to moderate noise levels or be subject to working conditions conducive to a home office. When travel is expected, the incumbent will be exposed to outside environmental conditions during those times.
