The Instructional Designer, Virtual Campus, works with faculty preparing courses for programs served by the Virtual Campus Instructional Design and Delivery (IDD) team. The IDD team is responsible for the design, development and delivery of a wide variety of programs across campus such as Organizational Leadership, Communication and Leadership Studies, Nursing, and Sport Administration, using the best available technologies and most appropriate pedagogical approaches to ensure that students have the most effective, valuable, and efficient learning experience possible. The Instructional Designer, Virtual Campus works closely with the other staff of the IDD team.
Bachelors degree in Curriculum and Instruction, Instructional Systems Design, Instructional Design, Online Education, Education or related field.
2 years of experience in the design of online and hybrid learning environments.
Experience using Blackboard or similar LMS.
Highly motivated collaborative worker.
An ability to apply instructional design practices across a variety of disciplines.
Knowledge of adult learning principles and techniques.
Strong interpersonal skills for managing faculty member deliverables and integrating with the other members of the Virtual Campus team.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including facilitation skills.
Excellent project management and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently, take initiative, problem solve and handle multiple tasks with ease.
Ability to work within a collaborative environment and work within aggressive time frames.
