Reporting to the Labor Relations Manager, provide critical case management and administrative support to the Employee & Labor Relations (E&LR) Unit for grievance, arbitration, contract administration, DFEH/EEOC and Unfair Labor Practices (ULP) processes and functions. Manage the data needs of the unit and maintain independent oversight of the unit's databases and reporting functions. Analyze and produce a variety of statistical reports related to collective bargaining, grievances, and complaints. Provide confidential professional support for collective bargaining processes and advisory committees. Provide technical assistance, special projects support, and administrative support to the Employee Relations and Labor Relations Managers, as well as the unit as a whole. Work with various levels of University management in a confidential environment.REQUIRED -Demonstrated knowledge and experience with UC and UC Davis personnel policies, procedures and practices and Collective Bargaining agreements between the University and various unions. -Demonstrated knowledge of employee and labor relations practices, procedures and law, in a HEERA collective bargaining environment. -Experience in hearing/arbitration processes including knowledge of arbitration principles and procedures. -Experience providing project management and analytical support in a healthcare environment. -Analytical experience and skills to extract and assess data to provide statistical analysis and effective recommendations for management review. -Analytical experience and skills to review established policies and procedures, data, and situations for conformance with established guidelines. PREFERRED-Experience working with in Human Resource Information Systems and applications.-Skills to interpret and apply University policy and contractual language. -Ability to operate proactively and strategically partner with others to find creative solutions.
