Assists the section supervisor with overseeing the operation of the section. Implements and administers ERIE's technical security systems, including card access, video, physical security, all proprietary databases, and fire/life safety systems for the Home Office and designated field offices. Functions as security systems subject matter expert and acts as project manager to coordinate system design, implementation and maintenance initiatives.
Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, electrical engineering, telecommunications or related field or; Associate's degree in information technology, computer science, electrical engineering, telecommunication or related field and two years of additional related experience or; High school diploma and related professional certification(s) and two years of additional related experience or; High school diploma and four years of additional related experience, required.
Six years experience with security and/or related systems, including detailed knowledge of the design, programming and troubleshooting of one or more of the following: card access systems, integrated security systems, hybrid IT-based video systems, intelligent fire alarm systems, or related information technology systems required.
Advanced understanding of digital and analog signaling protocols, communications, information systems and networks required.
Familiarity with and understanding of security and fire/life safety policies, codes and practices required.
Previous experience with low voltage electronics preferred.
Expert knowledge of one or more of the following: card access/security systems, including the system 9000 hardware, IDentiPASS software and digital video system components and software preferred.
In-depth knowledge of intelligent fire alarm systems preferred.
Extensive knowledge of Windows, database, spreadsheet and report writing software preferred.
NICET level III or IV certification or Electronic Security Association NTS Certified Systems Integrator (CSI) or Certified Service Technician (CST) or ASIS Physical Security Professional (PSP) certification preferred.
Some travel, including overnight stays required. This position requires the incumbent to be on call 24/7, and restrict vacations during peak periods.
