Responsible for maintaining a dynamic web presence for the UT Arlington College of Business. Designs, develops, implements and manages complex websites and microsites for departments and units within the College of Business.
Leads the college in university-wide effort to prepare for conversion of college's web presence to a new content management system including following UTA Web Redesign Project directives as they are presented in stages requiring college-wide work by content owners to develop new content strategies. Utilizing input from content owners and working in tandem with the college's Director of Marketing and Communications, strategize conversion of content in siloed websites to a CMS with a single website presence. Determine and document website architecture, interconnectivity of the structure, and back-end processing required. Perform all administrative duties associated with project management. Performs day-to-day client-requested maintenance on complex websites and microsites of the college. Responds to problems or questions regarding college websites using problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, proactively informing affected parties of status of issue. Monitors and maintains the websites of the college to keep them dynamic, current, relevant and in compliance with UTA standards. Consults with clients to determine web needs, recommending, providing, or coordinating viable solutions appropriate for the college which can include designing new web pages, microsites, or landing pages, securing appropriate approvals as necessary. Leads effort in providing web presence, online registration and online purchasing of sponsorships for college events as requested to do so. Utilizing online web form creator, MachForm, fulfills requests from clients for customized online web forms. Monitors form functionality and provides clients with comprehensive spreadsheets of responses as requested. Seeks out and participates in relevant professional development opportunities.
Bachelor's degree in related field. Two (2) years of advanced experience designing, developing, implementing, and managing complex websites within a large organization or the equivalent experience.
Master's degree in related field. Working knowledge and demonstrated practical ability in coding web development solutions using web programming languages. Understanding of contemporary web design trends as well as the techniques and the technical and functional processes required to execute formats for integrated usage across Web and electronic media. Experience with content management systems.
