The successful individual will integrate a team of 40+ investment bankers dedicated to Technology, with extensive presence in the US, Europe and Israel. Oppenheimer Directors help originating and lead global M&A and investment banking transaction executions.
The position is based in the City of London, as part of Oppenheimer's activities in Europe, with frequent international travel required.
Help in the origination of new business development leads.
Lead the execution of active investment banking engagements, including: - Leading the drafting of marketing materials e.g. management presentations, marketing pitches, and other presentations to shareholders, C-level executives and/or Board directors - Overseeing the process of preparing, analyzing and explaining historical and projected financial information by clients - Coordinating and conducting business due diligence - Supervising and coaching junior staff members across all aspects of the M&A advisory role and ensuring their development according to team and firm standards
Build relationships and maintaining direct contact with clients, prospective clients and professional advisors, being able to represent the firm in third party events
1. Sector Experience
Proven track record of M&A transaction experience with mid-market Technology companies
Knowledge, contacts and network in sub-sectors within the Technology space. Preferred sub-sectors are: - Online and digital media - Enterprise software - Financial technology
2. Technical Skills
Demonstrated knowledge of M&A processes. Ability to conduct flexible M&A processes
Relevant knowledge of Tech sub-sectors ecosystems, trends and issues
Financial acumen and ability to value Technology companies based on their financial profile, strategic relevance, technology attractiveness and end market attractiveness
Aptitude for financial analysis, interpretation and clear presentation to clients, at the highest level
Able to drive complex situations and deliver results. Problem solving type
Able to manage multiple engagements and shifting priorities
Creativity and ability to innovate / think out of the box
Effective team leader vs juniors, embracing and disseminating the team's values
Fluency / proficiency in other main European languages (French, Swedish, Spanish, etc) is advantageous
