The PFG is one of the largest, most cohesive and experienced global private placement and secondary solutions teams in the industry, having raised over $458 billion of capital for over 356 funds since 1994.
The PFG has one of the most global teams in the industry, with locally-based professionals in New York, London, Hong Kong, Chicago, Dallas, San Francisco, Sydney and Seoul. The PFG raises private capital from investors worldwide, including public and private pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, endowments, foundations, banks, insurance companies, fund of funds, consultants and high-net-worth individuals and families. The team operates through dedicated, local, on-the-ground resources to raise capital globally in Australia, Asia, Europe, Middle East, North America and South America.
The PFG has raised over 350 funds across all strategies / fund types including: Lower Middle Market & Middle Market Buyout; Energy & Natural Resources; Direct Lending; Distressed Debt; Special Situations; Mezzanine; First-Time Funds; Secondary Funds; Infrastructure; Emerging Markets; and Real Estate.
The PFG is formed of several verticals, including Project management, Distribution and Secondaries. This role sits within the Project Management vertical.
Project Management: In teams of 3-4, these individuals manage the fundraising process, communicating with the GP raising the fund on a daily basis and acting as an interface between the GP and the PFG's 21-person distribution team. Project Management's responsibilities include: advising the GP on their fundraising strategy; compiling high quality marketing and due diligence materials for the fund; managing the cash flow and track record files relating to the fund; tracking the status of each potential investor with regard to the fundraise; planning roadshows so that the GP can visit potential investors in different cities around the world; and processing the due diligence requests that potential investors may have with regard to the fund being raised. Each project manager will typically be working on three live deals at a time.
Roles & Responsibilities: PFG Analysts are expected to perform at a high level and take the initiative to come up to speed quickly assuming increasing levels of responsibility. They can expect a broad exposure to all aspects of the fundraising process including: - Providing upfront strategic advice and evaluating prospective clients; - Articulating complex marketing stories and preparing in-depth fundraising materials; - Opportunities to travel and work with a global client base; - Daily client interaction with senior private equity executives; - Constant communication with the PFG global distribution force to coordinate and track the capital raising process
