The function of the work coordinator is to supervise (with the exception of the hiring and firing responsibilities) the work of the unit. The function of the unit is to bill, process adjustments, collect on accounts, and/or perform customer service duties to ensure that monies due OHSU are secured and paid in a timely manner and the AR outstanding days of revenue are kept to a minimum. Provides functional direction and overall monitoring of managed care revenue collection: analyzes the Huron weekly report set, agings, individual statistics; makes oral and written recommendations to executive staff; makes oral and written instructions to team members; represents the unit of PBS to various internal and external customers such as Managed Care Contracting, PAS, RCT, HFS, and insurance companies; and actively facilitates the developed of the managed care standards, expectations and outcomes using project management and process improvement tools.
