The Epic Tapestry Analyst (Clinical Applications Professional 4) performs a variety of duties relating to the Managed Care Information Systems applications. Responsibilities include: Leading and assisting with process development, analysis, testing, implementation, and support of information systems for the organization; Project management, planning, development, testing, implementation, and evaluation of application functionality; Working with the team and key customers to ensure appropriate development, testing, training, and implementation of application functionality. This position will be primarily responsible for Epic Tapestry application as the technical leader for build, support, and maintenance. As a technical leader, applies advanced professional concepts and extensive industry knowledge to lead and/or work on medium to large projects of broad scope and complexity.REQUIRED-Highly in-depth knowledge and experience in integrated health system with managed care system experience in contract, claim processing, eligibility, enrollment, CRM and SQL reporting.-Associate or bachelor degree in Information Technology or equivalent combination of education and experience. -Experience implementing and supporting electronic medical record systems.-Knowledge of operations, systems and functions, including planning, design, development, implementation, user support and training, maintenance, quality assurance, and system testing and evaluation supporting healthcare managed care system.-Knowledge of quality tools and experience in business or clinical process improvement initiatives.-Advanced interpersonal communication skills to effectively train, support, and collaborate productively with contract, finance, utilization management, and managed care users, and key stakeholders at all professional and technical levels.-Skills or experience demonstrating advanced application of adult learning principles and system design standards.-Experience demonstrating knowledge of business operations and end-user requirements to improve or develop system design and training projects.-Advanced written and verbal communications skills, to convey highly-technical information and instructions to all levels of contract, finance, utilization management, and managed care users and staff in a specific, clear, and concise manner.-Advanced ability to serve as a technical leader and information resource, and to work collaboratively with key personnel and management, providing guidance and recommendations on systems, improvements, upgrades, and industry advances and trends.-Skills to learn assigned applications and meet proficiency testing requirements, and to maintain certification in assigned applications.PREFERRED-Epic certification in Tapestry AP Claim/Contract, Benefit Engine, Eligibility/Enrollment, CRM, UM Referrals, Reporting Workbench, and/or Clarity Reporting.-SQL writing experience.-Knowledge and experience in managing ANSI X12 277, 834, 835, and 837 EDI files.-Experience working with clinical information systems or system implementation teams for complex projects and/or application development.-Experience working with interfaced/integrated multi-vendor applications.-Knowledge and understanding of University policies and procedures.SPECIAL REQUIREMENT - THIS POSITION MAY BE SUBJECT TO A CRIMINAL BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION, DRUG SCREEN, LIVE SCAN FINGERPRINTING, MEDICAL EVALUATION CLEARANCE, AND FUNCTIONAL CAPACITY ASSESSMENT
