The Clinical Engineer will be responsible for:
Providing engineering services to the clinical and research areas throughout all locations of Boston Children's Hospital.
Providing medical device technology planning.
Implementing and operationalizing complex medical device/system trouble-shooting and management.
Providing the oversight of the medical device regulatory.
Performing a variety of special projects and additional work as needed/assigned in the clinical engineering department.
To qualify, you must have:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
Strong skills in project management in an engineering or technical setting.
Experience diagnosing and solving technical or system problems.
Technical writing skills, including technical writing, technical presentation and teaching.
A high level of computer literacy, including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
3 years of experience in Health Technology Management (Biomedical/Clinical Engineering) in a hospital preferred or an industry or academic setting is also preferred.
***This position is based in Boston (on the main campus) primarily working the specified hours/days, but the ability on short notice to travel to and work at any of the Boston Children's (Satellite) Sites (Martha Eliot Health Center in Jamaica Plain, Peabody, Waltham, Weymouth, etc.) in addition to working a weekends and holidays rotation are required of this position.***
