Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking an Edit/Media Specialist I TV for The Rutgers Division of Intercollegiate Athletics. This position is under the direction of the Senior Associate Athletic Director of Athletic Communications and the Director of RVision. The Edit/Media Specialist I TV collaborates with staff, develops ideas and leads production of new/original video content within the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics.
Among the key duties of this position :
Provides production and post-production support for Creative Services/Marketing department, editing commercials, sizzle reels and promos.
Responsible for producing feature stories, in-game promotional content, unique social media content and game highlight footage across all platforms including digital or broadcast channels, video boards, website and social media.
Responsible for loading and playback of digital content on stadium and arena LED and video boards.
Responsible for directing various live productions/events for internal and external clients.
Oversees technical set-up of production environment, including cinema camera operation and broadcast lighting.
Oversees asset management, using EditShare DAM, making sure video is logged and properly archived.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in journalism, broadcasting, communications or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
A minimum of two years' experience working in a NCAA Division I Athletic Department or similar professional department.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Experience in EFP/remote sports production, equipment setup and troubleshooting.
Solid grasp of all things technical.
Experience with cinema-style cameras and lenses
Advanced knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects and Photoshop
Ability to work under time constraints and meet assigned deadlines
Must perform duties with the highest standard of professionalism and ethical behavior and in accordance with University, Departmental, Big Ten or other affiliated Conference and NCAA regulations, policies and procedures
Available to work evenings/weekends and holidays required
Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and be willing to travel, when necessary, to sites throughout New Jersey for business demands
Daktronics Show Control operational experience preferred.
Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects and Photoshop
Regular use of cinema-style cameras, most notably the Sony FS7
Daktronics Show Control
Ross Carbonite switchers, Ross Graphic Xpression, Click Effect Crossfire and Newtek Tricaster production systems.
Daily use of Edit Share content management system
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Will be required to work nights and weekends.
Ability to lift heavy equipment.
