Reports to the Vice President for Workforce Development for all aspects of training project management including needs assessment, placement assessment, curriculum and instructional design, logistics, recruitment students and instructors, field audit, quality management, training deployment, and grant management. Supervises Project Coordinator(s) as they manage their assigned portfolio of training projects.
Summary of Essential Job Duties:
Manages a portfolio of training programs as assigned by the VP for Workforce Development including onsite customized training for employers and open enrollment customized short-term certificate programs.
Works with strategic partners to develop and execute recruitment and screening strategies for assigned training programs.
Customizes, sets up, and administers the training needs assessment process as required by the Institute’s policies and procedures.
Customizes, sets up, and administers placements tests and other tests as determined by employer and partner needs and requirements.
Researches and designs curricula based on employer and strategic partner needs and requirements.
Researches and designs instructional materials including assessments, PowerPoint presentations, workbooks, handouts, instructor’s guides, and other are required by employer and strategic partner needs and requirements.
Recruits instructors and consultants for assigned training programs.
Supervises and coaches instructors, consultants, and subject matter experts as they deliver services to assigned programs.
Deploys training programs at employers, strategic partners, and college’s facilities and audits trainers as required by Institute’s policies and procedures.
Sets up logistics with employers, partners, and trainers for the effective delivery of the assigned training programs.
Manages the technical aspects of grants and contracts for the assigned training programs.
Executes the quality verification procedure on the various documents, training materials, and other training accessories needed to execute training programs.
Supervises and coaches assigned Project Coordinator(s) and other assigned staff to ensure they successfully manage their portfolio of training programs.
Addresses training and employer/strategic partner issues that emerge as training is delivered.
Issues progress reports and verifies compliance with grant and contract requirements.
Performs other assigned duties.
A. in Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, Training and Development, or related field with a minimum of 3 years of experience in training project management or program coordination.
Minimum of 3 three years of experience supervising staff.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in training and/or workforce education.
Basic to Intermediate Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access, and Outlook skills.
Ability to cultivate and maintain relationships with colleagues, vendors, clients, and partners.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Bilingual Spanish and English preferred.
