The selected candidate would work on a high-profile team that is responsible for returning value. Position description: • Educate and evangelize the possibilities of automation to foster opportunity identification. • Identify business processes for automation, perform vital requirement gathering and lead communication with business process owners, the automation development team and US Steel leadership. • Maintain critical metrics related to cost savings including but not limited to impact estimates, process valuation and tracking of actual results. • Responsibility for supporting the creation and evolution of the delivery framework, mentoring other process developers and delivering automated processes. • Design efficient, resilient, scalable, secure and reusable unattended automation solutions that adhere to design best practices. Job Requirement: Identifying new process opportunities and accurately analyzing and estimating new processes while quickly assessing feasibility. Perform Automation Opportunity Assessments to identify and prioritize business processes that are potential candidates for automation. Working and communicating with various parts of the business to define detailed and exact requirements required for solution design. Maintain and distribute appropriate metric data to the Business Customers to proactively track, monitor, and refine the business benefit and usage. Acting as a central point of knowledge and control for automated processes, communicating with the developers, subject matter experts (SMEs) and the business process owners to answer any queries that arise during the development and testing of an automated solution. Meticulously creating and analyzing Process Definition Documents to capture all the business process steps in solution designs and consider accompanying factors such as recoverability, scalability, resilience and case management to ensure solution designs meet all requirements. Analyzing, understanding and documenting the business processes in detail where required. Creating and maintaining high quality solution design documentation that adheres to conventions and best practices. Presenting and explaining solution design decisions and justifications in design walkthrough sessions with senior stakeholders, developers and US Steel leadership. Understand system and business change cycles to ensure automated processes are proactively amended to reflect changes Considering additional factors such as license utilization, local data preservation and security policies when designing automation solutions. Conduct education sessions with business users to foster an understanding of automation technologies. Successfully communicate the capabilities of technologies such as robotic process automation to foster automation opportunity identification. Working within project planning constraints, communicating any identified project risks and issues to the delivery/project manager accordingly and providing inputs to the change control process. Creating and documenting test procedures and scenarios for the pre-UAT phases. Supporting the operational and development teams during the UAT and rollout phases. Create, or help the process owner to create, user acceptance test (UAT) documents, identifying all the process scenarios and their expected outcomes. Personal Skills: A minimum of 2 years developing and testing software and adhering to a structured and documented methodology. A minimum of 6 months Robotic Process Automation ( RPA ) experience, preferably utilizing the Blue Prism automation platform. Experience and knowledge of Business/System Analysis in a structured environment. Excellent requirements gathering skills, to capture business processes using both existing process documentation and process walkthroughs with the staff performing the process Expert understanding of workflow based logic and the ability to both understand a business process from a workflow diagram and to conceptualize it as an automated solution. Excellent written skills with the ability to produce clear and concise documentation. The ability to learn quickly and progress rapidly from theoretical exercises to real world delivery and mentoring tasks. A track record in training and mentoring individuals on development and delivery disciplines. The ability to methodically solve business and technical problems using innovative and well-planned approaches. Knowledge of complementary technologies such as OCR, NLP, Machine Learning and AI. The skills to design and document supportable and extensible developments and the ability to support and maintain the work of other solution designers, developers and testers. Good communication skills with the ability to present technical details to a non-technical audience. An aptitude for problem solving, with the ability to take a logical route to the source of an error.
