The Communications Coordinator / Executive Assistant will provide daily support for TTIA’s communication platforms, including printed materials, social media and digital communication activities and act as an Executive Assistant to the President & CEO in support of Board of Directors’ activities. Specific duties will include:
Draft and schedule social media posts
Manage social media calendar, review on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
Assist with writing, editing, and managing content for email newsletters, presentations and collateral materials to create a cohesive message and strong brand identification across all communication mediums
Assist with writing news releases, developing press kits and managing media lists, tracking media coverage
Update information on TTIA’s website in a timely and accurate manner
Assist with design of in-house graphics for newsletters, social media outreach, website use, collateral to include brochures, invitations, and membership packets
Support in-house editorial and content needs for social media, website and print materials
Provide support to the Communications Committee
Provide Support to the Board of Directors including electronic and hard copy communications, meeting agendas, presentations, briefing materials and minutes
Provide support for Association events and other projects as needed
Provide business support to members of the executive team including President & CEO necessary
Provide general administrative support as needed
Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills with an ability to produce effective communications materials across a variety of social, digital and print communication mediums
Strong attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials
Document layout experience; knowledge and aptitude for graphic design preferred
A good knowledge of communication, marketing, and relationship management skills and techniques
Working knowledge of Board structures including Bylaws, Roberts Rules of Orders, Minutes, communications and other liaison skills, helpful
Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other staff and members
Strong project management and organizational skill
Willing to execute day-to-day tasks and work independently
Good entrepreneurial work ethic and a desire to “get the job done”
Willingness to share own ideas
Ability to prioritize and follow through effectively
Essential Experience & Education
3-5 years’ experience in a communications, marketing or related role
Experience across several communications mediums, including social media
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
A strong working knowledge of Excel
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, CRM/AMS systems, content sharing/scheduling platforms, and Constant Contact/other relevant platforms
