This is a full-time, non-exempt position, responsible for supporting and coordinating the educational and award activities of the Society. The Program Manager will support the Scientific Director in design, development, and delivery of all educational initiatives for the Society. This individual will also support the Society’s awards, scholarships, and grant programs and facilitate information flow between volunteer Committees and the SLAS Professional Team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Management of the Awards and Educational Grant Fellowship programs, including project planning, leading committees, awards program execution, awardee communication, and ongoing management
Development of awards program budgets and financial tracking.
Oversight and coordination of all award judging panels, maintaining established processes and procedures. Manage review processes and confirmations.
Work with event logistics team to ensure appropriate onsite awards support
Support Scientific Director in content development and execution, including program template development, historical data tracking and strategic analysis.
Develop and manage budget and progress reports for Scientific Director and committees.
Set up program abstract system and manage submission and review processes.
Provide communications and speaker management support for all events.
Professional Team committee liaison as directed by the Scientific Director or CEO. These responsibilities include: Provide information to broaden committees’ knowledge, respond to committee member questions, and prepare reports, meeting materials, and notes.
Document global processes for consistency across all global SLAS educational products
Work with the marketing and communications team to execute the marketing plan for all education programs, including email, print, and digital media.
Assist marketing and communications team to update and maintain SLAS website
Work with event logistics team to update and maintain event registration sites and track registration progress for individual courses and workshops
Liaises with event logistics team to ensure all educational programs are appropriately managed according to event templates and budgets.
Develop program surveys and track results to make sure participants find high value in offerings.
Set up and maintain online/eLearning/webinar programs and courses within Society’s Learning Management System (LMS) including speaker support, registration set up, reports/attendance tracking and other necessary activities.
Manages audit, re-accreditation processes, and committee work of Microplate Standards
Task management utilizing Society’s online tools
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Experience developing and maintaining educational scientific content in a variety of delivery mediums.
Learning mindset, with an ability to work in a fast-paced, detail-oriented job developing professional training.
Experience working with volunteers and scientific subject matter experts and other key stakeholders
Strong oral and written communication skills, customer service presence, and teamwork skills for continual interaction with diverse groups.
Demonstrated ability to multi-task and stay on deadline with multiple projects.
Independent and effective time management with excellent organizational skills.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a virtual office model.
Education and Experience Requirements
Four-year college degree required.
Five years’ experience in education or program development required; Association experience preferred
Telecommuting is allowed.
