Senior Director of Institutional Advancement is responsible for high level strategic planning and organization development, project management, performance management and training, communication, and analytical support in a variety of areas that support organizational effectiveness in Institutional Advancement(IA). Reporting to the Vice President for Institutional Advancement, this position will work independently and demonstrate superior judgement while assisting the VP to design and carry out strategies to successfully run fundraising campaigns and departmental operations.
Conceptualizes, designs and manages the central programs in IA that support the successful accomplishment of fundraising, communications and marketing goals and objectives.
Manages the day-to-day work of the Special Project Coordinator to assist the Sr. Director in the successful completion of programmatic implementation, projects and other duties as needed.
Creates and directs a comprehensive strategic budget platform, auditing and reporting process for IA. Works collaboratively with the VP of IA, the Associate VP for Budgets, Planning & Analysis and the Senior Associate VP for Institutional Advancement.
Ensures all development related issues are addressed properly, efficiently and judiciously; tracks progress until matters are resolved.
In the absence of the VP serves as the key contact and administrator for the Division.
Leads an iterative and inclusive goal setting process to determine fiscal year metrics for IA staff related to fundraising, IA priorities and other objectives as determined by the University.
Manages inquiries directed to the VP; determines the proper course of action and collaborates with the appropriate individual(s) to formulate the responses.
Performs other duties as assigned by VP.
