The Department of Health, Behavior & Society is seeking a Sr. Research Program Coordinator II that will be responsible for the following:
provide high quality management and coordination of complex projects through superb organization, accuracy, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, sensitivities to the needs of the sponsors, host institution and partner organizations, and excellent ability to manage time and prioritize activities
manage the scientific and administrative design and implementation of projects
set meeting agendas and maintain meeting minutes
develop project workplans and timelines with key milestones, proposals and standard operating procedures
ensure milestones are met and that deliverables are received on time, and invoices are ready for processing
conduct project reporting – to supervisor, team, funder, etc.
proactively liaise, correspond, and build relationships with project team, contractors and other related personnel & partners
prepare and submit IRB documentation including proposals, progress reports and amendments
develop data collection, evaluation and other tools in support of projects
accountable for compliance with all relevant policies and requirements
train for and/or conduct data collection
identify and implement improvements to project efficiency (better and faster ways to accomplish tasks, as well as opportunities for reducing costs)
monitor incoming data for quality
clean and analyze data, interpret findings
write reports, fact sheets, abstracts, scientific papers (e.g., contribute text, conduct literature review, format references, prepare paper for submission and submit)
prepare other dissemination products as needed
prepare and deliver presentations
liaise with communications team to publicize publications and study findings
Support other IGTC work
participate in BI country calls
assist with other projects as requested
participate in meetings with guests & stakeholders
The ideal candidate must have the ability and the enthusiasm to travel domestically and internationally, including to low- and middle-income countries and be able to work in groups as well as independently with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate is sensitive to diverse populations and cultures, wil exercise independent judgement; have initiative and innovation in dealing with routine, novel and more complex matters and will consult with the PI as needed.
Bachelor's degree in related discipline and five years related experience with demonstrated knowledge of global and international development issues with experience managing projects and relationships with multiple and diverse stakeholders in this landscape. Additional education may substitute for required experience, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
JHU Equivalency Formula: 18 graduate degree credits may substitute for one year of experience. For jobs where equivalency is permitted, up to two years of non-related college course work may be applied towards the total minimum education/experience required for the respective job.
Master’s degree in public health or related discipline and experience working in low- or middle-income countries, be familiar with with tobacco control, and have fluency in Mandarin, Vietnamese, and/or Bahasa Indonesia desired.
