Responsible for the development, management, coordination, and administration of the department's capital projects program, operating and capital budgets, contract and procurement administration, policy administration, strategic initiatives, and administrative support to all divisions. Provides coordination, budgetary and project support and management services as needed and requested by Director to aid other division administrators. Performs research and analysis pertaining to department strategic initiatives, projects, programs and services. Manages capital and operational projects in cooperation with appropriate department and City staff to ensure successful implementation and outcome. Oversees and manages capital and operational projects by facilitating meetings, writing specifications, managing procurement contracts and agreements and conducting and coordinating on-site work and delivery of product and services. Manages various capital and operational projects and coordinate with appropriate department staff to ensure successful implementation. Assists in administering contracts, lease agreements, licenses and park uses.
Formal Education: Bachelor’s degree in Parks & Recreation, Business Administration, or related field is required. Master’s degree in Parks & Recreation, Business Administration, or Public Administration preferred.
Experience: Over four years of experience in Parks & Recreation, Business Administration/Management, Project Management or related field.
Driver’s License Required: Class D South Carolina license
Certifications and Other Requirements: Certified Park & Recreation Professional within 6 months of hire.
