Reporting to the Managing Director, the Project Manager will manage a range of projects, research, and other activities supporting critical initiatives within this office. This role will work across teams and functions to project manage and integrate activities, tools, and information in service to broader Harvard Allston Initiative (HAI) priorities.
Design, execute, and review projects, outreach, and in addition research and plans in support of strategic HAI priorities.
Staff internal and external planning meetings, including preparing materials, documenting decisions and monitoring status and next steps.
Identifies issues with project implementation and work to ensure progress.
Advise Managing Director and other relevant staff on substantive project-related matters and drives implementation.
Write, edit, and distribute briefings, talking points, and other preparatory material for University leadership and others as required.
Perform research analysis and makes recommendations for next steps based on findings.
Manage relationships and procedures with external stakeholders.
Manage and make recommendations on content and design for various web properties related to news, communications, and other cross-departmental priorities.
Work on other special projects for the department as needed.

Candidates MUST meet the following basic qualifications in order to be considered for this role:
Bachelor's degree required with minimum of 5 years of administrative, project or program management experience, preferably in higher education. Advanced education may count towards years of experience
Computer literacy required, must have experience with Microsoft Office suite and databases.
The ideal candidate must have exceptional interpersonal, project management, and reporting, writing and editing skills and a proven record of working collaboratively with a wide range of constituents.
Should have a demonstrated record of success in complex and fast-paced organization, preferably a college or university; should also possess the ability to set priorities and manage competing demands.
Candidate must possess the ability to work collaboratively across teams and with a variety of projects and constituencies.
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills are a must.
Must be innovative, strategic and conceptually manage multiple projects simultaneously and handle difficult situations with a high level of professionalism.
Enjoy working in start-up like environment, with the necessary ability to be nimble and flexible as work dictates.
Must be motivated to learn and flexible to change.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
