Video for Social Media and Beyond (GRA206) - Lynn Campus

Develop working knowledge of the use of videography and sound practices, terminology, digital equipment components, lighting, quality criteria, video/sound editing, copyright, and social media posting options. The focus will be creativity, planning, creation, editing and delivery of video formats for social media, online and website uses. Emphasis is placed on the range of video capture options in studio and on location, usage of models/ releases, ethics in video, and usage rights/copyright. Producing a professional video portfolio will be the capstone requirement of this course.

Salary will be $3,198 per course for first time faculty. This is a non-benefited, MCCC position.

A Master's degree or higher in a film/video/media-related field required; focus on a new media or business use preferred.
Minimum 3 years full-time employment, or equivalent part-time experience required; in a Video/Media/Social Medial field preferred.
Must have demonstrated proficiency in utilizing media/video hardware and software packages including Adobe CC, social media related channels, YouTube and Vimeo.
Knowledge of proper planning and process workflow for the development of content including scripting, project management, video, sound, and presentation.
Process troubleshooting techniques required for use in video creation, presentation and distribution; Digital Animation and Graphic Design skills are a plus.
Experience teaching online/hybrid and/or embedding the use of technology into the curriculum preferred.
A commitment to and experience working with a diverse student body is also required.
Additional Salary Information: Salary will be $3,198 per course for first time faculty. This is a non-benefited, MCCC position.
