Job Description Summary Reporting to the Executive Director of the User Experience Center, this position coordinates and oversees the execution of faculty staffing, logistics and marketing for the User Experience Center. This includes client outreach and cultivation, coordination of custom and open enrollment educational programs and the development, execution and monitoring of the marketing plan. The marketing outreach objective involves generating leads for the professional services component of the UXC and enrolling participants in educational programs, which combined generate revenue for the University of approximately 1.5 million annually. Essential Duties
With oversight by the Executive Director, responsibilities for the position include:
Oversee payment tracking, registration system tracking and student worker supervision.
Coordination with faculty on content and materials, communication and occasional meetings with client contacts regarding logistics and details, management of faculty contracts, assurance of payment.
Represent User Experience Program as a primary contact for selected open programs and custom in-house programs. Provide primary point of contact for the department in the absence of the Executive Director.
Communicate via phone and email with potential clients and students who have responded to email or digital campaign inquiry requests.
Maintain and manage UXC social medial platform - Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter
Manage UXC newsletter (4x/year), including managing the contact databases.
Oversight of the Center's digital marketing campaigns with Google Adwords, LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter advertisements.
Create content for print collateral, email campaigns, Center websites for review by the Executive Director.
Organize and manage UXC events, including sponsorships and hosted conferences.
Manage creative outreach options to potential clients with a goal of lead generation.
Monitoring traffic, budget and spending levels on a weekly and monthly basis for advertising campaigns.
Website management. Proficient in Drupal to design and revise Center websites for external corporate audiences.
Maintain marketing budget and schedule
Work with other staff across the university to help promote the UXC
Working with our student workers, and senior faculty advisor, manage our education services:
Set course schedule for public certificate offering
Market and coordinate one-week UX Book Camp (March)
Generate leads for corporate in-house programs ( average four per year)
Schedule rooms and catering
Provide student service
Interact with necessary university divisions such as student accounts, registrar, web services, and the like
Supervision of undergraduate and graduate student workers for marketing projects and competitive analysis.
Track program revenues, expenses and margins as assigned. May hire, train and supervise undergraduate or graduate student workers
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of experience in digital marketing and/or writing, communications, event management or public relations. Must possess excellent analytical, written and interpersonal communication skills. Must have demonstrated professional experience and be a strong writer/ editor/proofreader. Must have excellent attention to detail. Experience managing a website presence (creating copy, updating copy, navigating, visuals) and email campaigns using Constant Contact, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Facebook. Must have experience with Web and marketing analytics.
Preferred Qualifications Background in user experience or customer experience is desirable. Knowledge of Drupal is helpful.
