The goal of Baylor Scott & White Health's newly formed Digital Office is to drive innovation with the intention to transform the organization from within. Initially the objectives are to identify the key problems and opportunities for the organization, identify and evaluate innovations to solve those problems and support our operators in commercializing those solutions initially through pilots and then more broadly throughout the organization. The Digital Office are a group of progressive leaders working across key internal business units and external resources, including entrepreneurs, venture capital, design firms and private equity firms, incubators, vendors and health industry peers to drive transformational efforts. Focus areas include: Modernizing the Consumer Journey, Empowering Population Health and Driving Operational Excellence.
The Digital Health Program Manager provides leadership, administration, and management of the activities and resources for a variety of digital projects that range in size and impact within the organization.
The Digital Health Program Manager leads business partner and technical teams to define, document, and review business system requirements to support new projects while managing the scope, cost, schedule, and quality of strategic projects that are large-scale and complex. The Digital Health Program Manager provides operational assistance to the Digital Team and collaborates with Digital Team Leadership to assist with developing strategies where needed. The Digital Health Program Manager will also have the following responsibilities, including but not limited to:
Solves complex problems by analyzing business issues and requirements, analyzing data, driving organization consensus and synthesizing key messages
Participates in developing business plans and/or action plans including identification and establishment of project objectives and to establish project parameters, budgets, deliverables and deadlines
Conducts project meetings and maintains mutual interaction with team members, leaders, staff, vendors and consultants.
Identifies project and application dependencies and risks, ensuring mitigation and contingency plans are in place for identified risks in order to reduce the risk of failure while ensuring project success
Maintains accurate, detailed project documents and reports
Effectively communicates key activities and progress reports summarizing project status, risks and required actions , and timelines to leadership and stakeholders
The ideal Digital Health Program Manager will hold a Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 3 years of applicable, relevant experience. The ideal Digital Health Program Manager will have exceptional analytical and problem solving skills with a proactive approach to identify risks, structure problems, identify various options to resolve the issue, and the ability to develop and present recommendations to stakeholders. The ideal Digital Health Program Manager will possess a passion for innovation combined with an entrepreneurial spirit with a mission driven focus on having a positive impact on the organization and patient care & experience. The ideal Digital Health Program Manager will also have the following knowledge, skills, and abilities, including but not limited to:
Leadership - Client-oriented, effectively manages relationships, ability to provide leadership within the digital team and mentor/coaches others as needed
Time Management - Demonstrated ability to prioritize activities and projects effectively, manages up as needed
Industry Knowledge and Technical Expertise - continuous learner of digital health (and healthcare in general), has technical knowledge, or the ability to learn quickly and drive technical project components as needed
Mission driven - Professional mission centered on having a positive impact on society, exceeding personal imperatives
Respectful and respectable - polite, tactfully says what s/he means and does what s/he says; genuinely cares for others
