JOB SUMMARY Assists with the tactical execution of media relations, social media and internal communications under the supervision of the regional communications manager. Coordinates and develops external and internal communication materials (newsletters, press releases, social media, internet/intranet content).
Ideal candidate will have 2-3 years experience in external communications and social media/digital marketing, as well as a strong, working understanding of the media. Must demonstrate the ability to write effectively for a news audience, including using the appropriate format, tone and AP style. Must be able to write effectively for a variety of internal and external audiences through internal newsletters, business memos, advertising, e-blasts and other communications vehicles. Must demonstrate a working understanding of social media and be able to represent CBRE appropriately and in a timely fashion on social media. Experience with digital marketing and Sitecore, Sharepoint or other web content management applications. Strong organizational skills, demonstrated attention to detail and effective proofreading skills are critical. Experience in and/or demonstrated understanding of commercial real estate is preferred but not required. Experience with Cision/Vocus for media tracking and analysis preferred.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Create press releases, internal email communications, professional profiles, and web postings for manager review
Gather content and create/distribute daily internal email newsletter
Create and publish communications content on the Intranet (news articles/press releases)
Own content sharing on the local market Twitter account
Manage and create content for local social media accounts and lead social seller training with sales professionals
Track and analyze effectiveness of social media campaigns
Partner with sales professionals to create online team pages
Proactively engage with local professionals to stay abreast of newsworthy activity that can be promoted through PR, social media and internal communications channels
Monitor, track and analyze all media coverage and social media content; collect analytics related to specific reports and campaigns
Help to coordinate and facilitate advertising requests with media outlets
Remain up to date on all aspects of the commercial real estate industry
Promote CBRE through events and editorial venues; may include coordinating sponsorships and assisting in event planning
Assist with projects as needed, including presentation decks, invoice processing and budget tracking
Support communications needs of corporate operations and/or designated business groups and departments. Engage in the development and execution of communications programs.
Coordinate a variety of specialized communication responsibilities
