The Brown University Division of Advancement seeks qualified applicants for the position of Graphic Communications Designer.
The Graphic Communications Designer (GCD) supports the Senior Communications Designer in the creation, production and distribution of numerous print and digital publications in the support of the Division of Advancementâ™s ongoing engagement and fundraising efforts. Proficient in both traditional and electronic development tools, the GCD is responsible for the design and production of engagement, marketing and fundraising communication products such as: proposals and reports, event presentations, direct marketing solicitations, web presences, html emails, and identity gifts. An expert at visual problem solving, the GCD understands and reinforces brand integrity and cohesion across all media for the division.
Required: Bachelorâ™s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred: Degree or certificate of completion in web design and/or development with a strong focus on Art & Media.
Minimum 3-5 years full-time experience and/or demonstrated proficiency with designing and producing print and marketing materials for organizations and/or businesses.
Minimum 3-5 years full-time experience and/or demonstrated proficiency building fully functional websites and using web development tools to create sophisticated features, multi-media content and HTML-formatted e-mail.
Experience with producing various print media and marketing materials required. Must demonstrate a portfolio of designed products.
Experience Lyris ListManager preferred. Experience with Campaign Monitor, MailChimp and/or other bulk mail tools and services a plus.
Demonstrated proficiency in using Adobeâ™s suite of design and web development tools required.
