Under general direction, incumbents manage staff involved in overseeing the construction phase of public works projects. The Construction Manager is responsible for ensuring that projects are constructed per plans and specifications, and in accordance with prudent construction management procedures.
Either: 1. Two years of full-time experience performing the duties equivalent to the class of Construction Management Supervisor in Sacramento County service.
Or: 2. A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in construction management or in engineering.
Four years of full-time experience acting as a Resident Engineer or Project Manager on public works construction projects. A Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Construction Management may substitute for one year of the required experience.
