Reporting to the Lead Archivist for the SU Libraries' Special Collections Research Center (SCRC), the Assistant Archivist will support SCRC's implementation of metadata standards and processing methodologies consistent with nationally accepted standards; assist with processing and preservation of SCRC's (including University Archives) archival collections; and contribute to the ongoing growth of the Libraries' digital archive portals. Working under the guidance of the Lead Archivist, the Assistant Archivist will arrange and describe collection materials and create relevant metadata and web content to enhance the online availability of SCRC materials. The Assistant Archivist will also have the opportunity to manage student interns and grant-funded projects.
